Pensacola Hunter Jumper Show

Well, we finally have hit the road!  The photo on our main Horse Division page is from Bobby's first show.  We entered the Rusty Stirrup 2' division at the Pensacola Hunter Jumper Association Show on September 8th.  After an eventful start, we came away with two seconds and a fourth - quite delighted with the day!

Pine Mountain Horse Shows

And, now we've done our first event!  (Really!!)  We went Tadpole, 2'3, at a Pine Mountain Horse Shows schooling event at Big Bear in Georgia on September 15th.  We had a mid-level dressage score and then went clean on stadium and cross country.  Placed 6th of 11 entries, and even brought home a ribbon!  Thanks to all of you that have helped us finally get this far - and double thanks to Carol Anne Parker for being my trainer, coach, and friend!  Without her, Saturday would have never happened!

We attended the 4th Annual Howard J. Morris MADCTA Schooling Show on October 13, 2007.  We placed 2d in the Tadpole Combined Test (BN Dressage Test A, fences 2'-2'3) and 3rd in the Pre-Novice Combined Test (BN Dressage Test B, fences 2'3-2'6).

Well, we did it!  We finished our first recognized USEA show at Poplar Place on November 10-11.  We placed 10th, with a fair dressage test, one rail in stadium, and 19 seconds over on cross country.  WAHOO!

Schooling Shows

Dec.1 - Showed in the 2'6 division at Foxwood Farms' hunter show.  Placed 5th in the first class, had a rail in the second and dnp on the flat - but, had a BALL!  Bobby's learning how to show, and so am I.  It was great fun!

Dec. 9 - Showed Beginner Novice at Sandstone Equestrian Center's first three-phase event.  Ended up third overall - after a fair dressage test and one refusal on XC (it was a boat - a real BOAT - I don't blame him for stopping!  Ha!).

We are waiting for a lesson with Stephen Bradley at Carol Anne's First Down Farm this upcoming Saturday and that will round out 2007 for us.  What an AMAZING year!!  :)
